   PORTSMOUTH  Mary Nell Douglas, 80, of the 100 block of Lamper Road, died March 11 in Suffolk.
   A native of Holland, she was a retired waitress from F.W. Woolworth and a Baptist.
   She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Ward; and a son. Robert L. Ward.
   She is survived by two sons, Sidney C. Ward of Chesapeake and James Frank Ward of Suffolk; a brother, James J. Britton of Suffolk; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
   A funeral will be held at 1 p.m., at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, with burial in Holland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home March 13 from 7 to 8 p.m.
