Effie Florine Vick Clark, 59, died July 17, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Clark was born in Southampton County, a daughter of the late Hugh Thomas and Lucy Luter Vick Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Clarence Calvin Clark; three daughters, Deborah Lyn Hall of Carrsville, Janet Leigh Bleiler and her husband, Bobby, of Holland, and Cheryl Ann Mosley and her husband, David, of Beaufort, S.C.; one son, William Calvin Clark of Converse, Texas; two brothers, Hugh Thomas Vick Jr. of Franklin and Clarence Carson Vick of North Carolina; three sisters, twin sister Addie Lorine Turner of Franklin, Kay Piccolo of Toms River, N.J., and Shirley Marie Johnson of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Brandon Cortez, Christina Clark, Ashley Wilson, Michael Hall, April Clark, Amber Blythe, Tiffany Hall and Amanda Clark.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Rhoney. Burial will be at Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Windsor or Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squads.
