Helen Stepanik Worrell, 75, died June 29, 1997, in Suffolk. 

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carole Stepanik and the widow of Earl M. Worrell. She had retired as an insurance agent from Citizens Home Insurance Co. and was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church. 

Mrs. Worrell is survived by a daughter, Elaine W. Hall, and her husband, Jerry, of Suffolk; two sons, Johnny M. Worrell of Newsoms and E. Manley Worrell Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of Glen Allen; a sister, Matilda S. Smith of Bloomsburg, Pa.; a brother, Edward Szczepanik of Connecticut; six grandchildren, Kristi L. Hall, Lawson N. Worrell, McKenzie L. Worrell and Brandy, Cheyenne and Heidi Tune. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by Fr. Carl DeSouza and the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1290 Seminole Trail, Suite 2, Charlottesville, Va. 22901.
