SUFFOLK - Ellen Colleen Quimby Hawkins, 62, died Jan. 9, 2004. A native
of Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret
Robinson. She was a private duty sitter. She was also predeceased by her
daughter, Rose Q. Hudgins.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Benjamin Luther Hawkins;
daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie A. and William R. Turner, Jr. and Mary
E. and Mark T. Smith, all of Suffolk and Peggy Sue Raiford of Edinboro,
Pa.; six grandchildren, Mandy, Wesley, Brandy, Melvin, Ryan and
Jennifer; a great-grandchild, Connor; sisters and brother, Marlene
Selby, Nancy Quesenberry, Carolyn Robinson and Denny Robinson, all of
Maryland; stepdaughter, Tammy Phelps of South Carolina; stepsons, Ike
Hawkins and wife, Margie and Dennis Hawkins and wife, Mary all of
Suffolk; six step grandchildren, Meredith, Brandy, Paul, Dennis, Donny
and Scott; and two step great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Parr Funeral Home by Chaplain
Tommy Reynolds with interment in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join
the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at Mary and Mark
Smith's, 3404 Deer Path Road, Suffolk.
