Elizabeth Pond Goodrich of Joyners Bridge Road died Monday, May 13, 2002, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Elizabeth was born May 13, 1930, in Southampton County, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Ella Rollings Pond. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Jerome Goodrich Sr.; daughter, Susan G. Minton of Carrsville and fiance Kea Turner of Black Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Julia G. and Jerry Bradshaw of Sedley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert J. Goodrich Jr. and Sandy of Newsoms and David W. Goodrich and Eva of Suffolk; grandchildren, Katie Pendergrast, Ryan Goodrich, Adam Goodrich, Jonathan Goodrich, Emily Goodrich, Christopher Goodrich, Matthew Bradshaw, Justin Bradshaw and Rena Minton; a sister, Josephine Stephenson of Wakefield; brothers, Homer (Jack) Pond of Sedley and Harold (Jill) Pond of Wakefield.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Holland-Rideout Funeral Home.
