Marie Parker Daniels, 79, died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, in Sentara Nursing Center, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Daniels, a native of Bertie County, N.C., was a daughter of the late Roland W. and Addie Ruth Harrell Parker. She was the widow of William D. ``Billy'' Daniels and a member of the High Street United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Daniels is survived by a sister, Frances P. Underhill and her husband, Elton, of Portsmouth; ``sister'' Mary Anne Flythe of Franklin; several nephews, including David Underhill of Portsmouth and Kenneth Underhill and his wife, Barbara, of Virginia Beach; two great-nieces, Jessica Marie and Maria L. Underhill; and a great-nephew, Evan David Underhill of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by two brothers, Troy and Joseph Parker.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Lovingood with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 5349 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
