Vivian Mae Joyner Bracey, 82, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. 

She was a member of Corinth Friends Meeting. She was the widow of James Henry Bracey and the daughter of the late Ryland and Mollie Gay Joyner. 

Mrs. Bracey is survived by her daughter, Dorothy B. Reveal of Ivor; a son, Donald R. Bracey and his wife, Teresa, of Ivor; her grandchildren, Robert Reveal, John Reveal, Mickey Bracey, Megan Bracey and Ricky Bracey; her great-grandchildren, Triston, Ryland, Steffen, Haleigh and Jazmine; and a niece, Janet Stieh of Ivor. 

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, with the Rev. Mike Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, and at other times at Donald Bracey's residence, 35244 Babb Drive, Ivor. Memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad or to the Ivor Volunteer Fire Department.
