FRANKLIN - Lucy James Keane, 75, widow of John Keane Jr., died Sept. 9.
(2005)

A native of Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Robert Welmore
and Blanche Wright James and was predeceased by a brother, Robert W.
James Jr. She was a graduate of Hollins College and a member of the
Franklin Baptist Church.

Surviving include a daughter, Elizabeth K. Martin and husband Michael of
Richmond; one son, Robert B. "Bobby" Keane and wife Robin of Savannah,
Ga.; two brothers, Richard P. James and wife Betty and Pryor W. "Pugger"
James and wife Cathy, all of Richmond; a sister-in-law, Joan K. Kirkmyer
of Richmond; four grandchildren, Kelsey R. Keane, Matthew I. Keane,
Marilyn T. Martin and Julia H. Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral was conducted Sept. 12 at Franklin Baptist Church with the
Rev. Sharon James officiating. Burial following in Poplar Spring
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggest
memorials be made to Franklin Baptist Church, 208 N. High St., Franklin,
Va. 23851, or to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements.
