Gladys Lucille Duck Cox, 82, died Feb. 3, 1998, in Maryview Medical Center. 

A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Duck and Mary Dauphant Duck. She was the widow of Marshall V. Cox and a homemaker. Mrs. Cox was a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church. 

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. Cox of Suffolk; and nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Mount Carmel Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Bennett. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Harrell Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Christian Church, 27882 Walters Hwy., Walters, Va. 23481.
