Henrietta Dixon Cobb, 87, died May 25, 1998, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cobb was born in Pitt County, N.C., a daughter of the late Elmer Basil and Nora Cornelia Laughinghouse Dixon. She was the widow of William Lawless Cobb. A retired telephone operator and nurse's aide, she was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Dixon Hundley and Cornelia Dixon Springer; a brother, Carroll Caton Dixon; several nieces and nephews, including June H. Dunlow, Debra H. Bryant and Lynn H. Burgess. She was predeceased by a brother, Elmer Linward Dixon, and her stepmother, Rosebud Caton Dixon.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. James Smith. The family will assemble at Wright Funeral Home at 10 a.m.
