FRANKLIN - Margaret Cutchin Butler of the 1200 block of Carrsville Hwy. died Sunday, July 1, 2001, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 25, 1913, in Isle of Wight County to Ernest Linwood and Ocie Otelia Cutchin, she was the widow of A. Ray Butler and was predeceased by two brothers, Ernest L. Cutchin Jr. and James Lawless Cutchin. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and loved to sew, cook and can vegetables grown on their farm.
She is survived by a niece who was like a daughter, Mary W. Jernigan and her husband, James A., and their daughters, Debbie Totty and her husband, Bobby, and children, Jonathan, Ashley and Josh and Donna Dudley and her husband, Larry, and their daughter, Mary; a devoted nephew, Gregory Cutchin and his wife, Angela, and their sons, Jamie and Lucas. Other nieces and nephews are Ray and Peggy Williams and their children, Wayne, Dennis and Brian; Tony Cutchin, Darlene Duck, Linwood Cutchin, Wayne Cutchin, Yvonne Raiford, Ailene and Francis Anne, and several other nieces.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Totty officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
