Kelley L. Coggsdale 

BRIDGEWATER - Kelley Lynn Coggsdale, 36, a resident of the 1800 block of Mount Crawford Ave., died at 3 a.m. Sept. 2, 2002, at her home following a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. 

A daughter of Christine Early Coggsdale of Kingsdale Road, Suffolk, and Bobby M. Coggsdale of Autumn Circle, Suffolk, she was born May 26, 1966 in Richmond and lived her early life in Suffolk. She graduated from Nansemond Suffolk Academy, earned her bachelor degrees in Art Education and Graphic Design from Longwood College and in 1999 received a master's degree in Adult Education from James Madison University. Miss Coggsdale had been making her home in Bridgewater for the past 10 years and was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church in Suffolk. 

She was an extension agent with the Virginia Extension Service in Rockingham County for 10 years. She was president of the Virginia 4-H All Stars and was currently president of the Virginia Association of Extension 4-H Agents. 

Besides her mother and father, she is survived by a brother, Robert R. Coggsdale and wife Leslie and their three sons, Travis, Evan and Beau Coggsdale of West Point, Va. 

Her body will be cremated and a memorial and celebration of life service will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at 2 p.m. in Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater. 

A memorial service will be held at Western Branch Baptist Church, Suffolk, Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. David Jendrey. 

Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Courtland , Va. 

In lieu of flowers, it was Kelley's wish that memorial contributions be made to the Rockingham 4-H Memorial Fund in support of Character Counts Education, c/o Edward D. Jones, 245 Newman Ave., Harrisonburg, VA 22801, Attn: Ken Surber. 

The Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
