Mary Elizabeth Cobb Blythe, 83, died Saturday, July 28, 2001. 

Mrs. Blythe, who was born in Southampton County, was the daughter of the late Frank Morris and Margaret Whitley Cobb, and was the widow of Bernard Blythe. She was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ and was a registered nurse with Southampton Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years. 

Survivors include two daughters, Crissie B. Eubanks and her husband Robert of Franklin and Nancy B. Litton and her husband Gilmer of Charleston, W.Va; two sisters, Fay Shelton and Margaret Burgess, both of Franklin; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Sharon James officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence, 116 Bobwhite Lane, Franklin. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements.
