Lois (Mamie) Bradshaw Carr, 78, of Old Carrsville Road, died March 3, 1997.
Mrs. Carr was born in Southampton County, one of 11 children of the late John Ernest and Annie Bland Bradshaw and was the wife of the late William Rossie Carr. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Suffolk, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her three daughters, Virginia C. Lassiter, Florence C. Barnes and Oneal C. Gray, all of Carrsville; three sons, John Henry (Peter) Carr and William Earl Carr, both of Carrsville, and Frank Morgan Carr of Portsmouth; five sisters, Ruby Carr of Suffolk, Mary E. Carr and Louise Pope, both of Franklin, Verna Carr of Carrsville and Margaret Drake of Sedley; four brothers, Morgan Bradshaw, Russell Bradshaw and Alfred Bradshaw, all of Suffolk, and Leroy Bradshaw of Franklin; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Carr was predeceased by a brother, Ernest (Bud) Bradshaw.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Carmel Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Art McGahan. Wright Funeral Home is in charge.
