COURTLAND - Linda Beck Babb, wife of Harwood F. "Woody" Babb Jr., died
Jan. 2, 2006.
A native of San Angelo, Texas, she was a daughter of the late L. Gray
and Mary June Beck. She was a graduate of Lewis and Clark College and
the University of Oregon and taught for 27 years in Westchester, N.Y.
Linda had a passion for horseback riding and golf.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Bree K.
Linton and husband Christopher of Sandston, Va. and David M. Kandel and
fiancee Bridget Walsh of Littleton, Colo.; her brothers, Larry G. Beck
of Gig Harbor, Wash. and Bryan Beck of Albuquerque, N.M.; and her
grandson, Andrew M. Linton.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Riverside
Cemetery with Pastor James Kniseley officiating. A memorial service will
be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 21 in Resurrection Lutheran Church,
Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the
American Cancer Society, c/o June S. Cooley, 112 Sunset Drive, Franklin,
Va 23851. Wright Funeral Home is assisting the family.
