Charlotte Barrett Clements, 87, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2002, in Suffolk, Va. Born October 30, 1915, in Southampton County she was the daughter of the late Aurelius Wellons Barrett and Carrie Lee Barrett Barrett. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher, coordinator of flowers, Bible school teacher, a former choir member and member of the Ladies Class. She was the wife of the late Channing R. Clements.
Mrs. Clements is survived by her son, Carter Randolph Clements and his wife, Joyce G., of Windsor; grandson, Andrew Randolph Clements of Windsor; two great-granddaughters, Drew McKenzie Clements and Taylor Michele Clements; and brother, Hubert Earl Barrett of Petersburg, Va.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2002, at Antioch Congregational Christian Church, Windsor, Va., with the Rev. Mark Habecker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
Memorials donations may be made to the Windsor Vol. Rescue Squad or to Antioch Congregational Christian Church.
Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge of arrangements.
