Agnes Earl Baines Brinkley, 89, died July 31, 1999, at Obici Hospital.
A native of Nansemond County, Va., she was the daughter of the late John Frank Baines and Margaret Jane Aswell Baines and the widow of Raleigh Abrham Brinkley. She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church, Ida K. Brinkley Sunday School Class and Women's Missionary Circle.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Raleigh Earl Brinkley and Dorothy Brinkley of Suffolk; grandchildren, Susan B. Delucchi of Prince George, Va., Carol B. Bradshaw of Suwanee, Ga., and Joanne B. Reid of Ruckersville, Va.; and a sister, Bertie Mae B. Hauser of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Eureka Baptist Church, Corapeake, N.C., by the Rev. Cameron Currin. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family at her son's home, 1534 Forest Glen Circle, Suffolk. Donations may be made to the Eureka Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
