Gladys Bailey Roach, 92, of Waverly, died Jan. 10, 2000.
Born Dec. 27, 1907, in Surry County, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Annie Hargrave Bailey.
Mrs. Roach is survived by her sons, T. Shannon Roach of Waverly and Frank Lee Roach of Hopewell, and his son, Frank Lee "Sam" Roach Jr. of Emporia; a sister, Annie L. Harvell of Pequot Lakes, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Martha Bailey of Wakefield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. Burial will be in the Newville Baptist Church Cemetery, Waverly. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
