Welcome to our first attempt at obituaries.

Obituaries can be a valuable resource in genealogy research, offering a wealth of information about our ancestors. The obituaries here have been processed by artificial intelligence to enhance their usefulness in genealogical research.

Each obituary is presented in nine parts.

  1. The source. The obituary source may have a text document, but often it was generated by optical character recognition of an image of the source.
  2. References for the obituary. Often provides the source for the obituary and may point to obituaries for spouse, children or siblings of the deceased.
  3. A narrative summary of the life of the deceased (256 characters of less).
  4. A narrative summary of the funeral of the deceased (256 characters of less).
  5. The obituary corrected for recognition errors, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other errors.
  6. Vitals for the deceased (age, birth, death).
  7. A table of relationships contained in the obituary.
  8. Publication details.
  9. Other relevant information from the obituary (i.e, Education, Career, Hobbies and interests, etc. ).

Much of this information can be pasted into tools like Ancestry. Remember, AI tools can make mistakes, so check important info.
