Obituary of JOHN I. WYCHE, SR. Weldon - John Ira Wyche, Sr., 68, died Sunday morning. Funeral services will be conducted from the Weldon Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock by the Rev. Fouts. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Rowe Funeral Home Monday morning to the church. Mr. Wyche was born in Greensbolle [Greensville] County, Va., July 21. 1879, son of the late Benjamin Walker and Mattie Elizabeth Green Wyche. He attended the public schools in Emporia, Va.; Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Randolph Macon Academy, a and was graduated from Smithdeal Business College in Richmond, Va. He came to Weldon 45 years ago and for a number of years was associated with of Wyche Bounds and Company, which was later operated by him individually. Later he became interested in the Merchants Distributing Company, of which he was serving as president and general manager at the time of his death. He had been a member of the board of stewards of the Weldon Methodist Church and of of the the Baraca Class, in which he served as treasurer. Surviving are his wife, the Alice May Vincent; three daughters, Elizabeth Wyche of the home, Mrs. Sam B. Underwood. Jr., of Greenville, Mrs. A. L. Cockrane, Jr., of Jackson; three sons, John I. Wyche, Jr., of Weldon; Ben W. Wyche and G. Vincent Wyche of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Clayton Land, Mrs. Peter Prince and Mrs. Meadie Taylor, all of Emporia, Va.; Mrs. William Hayes of Portsmouth. Va.; one brother, Benjamin W.
