James Edward "Hill" Worrell 

February 10, 2007 James Edward "Hill" Worrell, 88, passed away Feb. 10, at Sentara Obici Hospital. Born in Newsoms, he was the son of the late Lewis Arthur and Naomi Jane Crumpler Worrell. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a graduate of Virginia Tech and retired from the Department of Agriculture. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Anna Blanche Vick Worrell; daughter Marion Denise Worrell, of Suffolk; stepdaughter Nancy Pearsaul and husband Michael; stepson Robert Wayne Wildner, all of Windsor; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Worrell was predeceased by three sisters, Gladys Pope, Carrie Railey and Nellie Story and brother Lewis Worrell Jr. 

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home in Franklin, with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
