James B. Wood, Sr. James B. Wood, Sr., 80, of the 9300 block of Capeview Avenue, passed away June 24, 2004, in DePaul Medical Center. A native of Rocky Mount, NC, Mr. Wood was a retired Avionics Supervisor with the Naval Air Rework Facility. He was a U.S. Naval submarine veteran of WWII and Korea. He was the son of the late George E. and Ella L. Wood, and the widower of Geneva F. Wood. He was also predeceased by a son, James B. Wood, Jr. He is survived by his son, David C. Wood of Norfolk, VA; his daughter, Bonita Kofsky and her husband Larry of Owings Mills, MD; a daughter-in-law, Donna Wood of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Ida Fitzberger of Buena Vista, VA; and brother, Waverly Wood of Rocky Mount, NC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
