He was a son of the late Willie and Velma Seamster Womack. Mr. Womack was a retired insurance agent and an ordained minister. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the George F. Dashiell American Legion Post 49 and VFW of Smithfield and the Virginia Sheriff s Institution. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Jane Moore Womack; one daughter, Lisa W. Wade, one step-daughter, Kathy G. Holt; three sons, Randy Womack, Tony Womack and Donald Womack, Jr.; two step-sons, Lee Gray and David Gray; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Jim Goebel officiating. Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.
