Hilda K. Williams

Portsmouth - Hilda Kelly Williams, 83, passed away Sunday July 14, 2013. A native of Lee County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Edna Kelly and wife of the late Thurman H. Williams and was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Portsmouth. 

Mrs. Williams is survived by six children, Thurman Williams, Jr. (Mary) of Alpine, CA, Bev Perrine of Portsmouth, Vickie Parker (Winston) of Chesapeake, Lynn Johnson (Charlie) of Chesapeake, Jerry Williams of Apopka, FL and Tony Williams (Carol) of Seabrook, TX; eight grandchildren, Ricky, Thurman III, Kim, Matthew, Kevin, Travis, Evan and Nat; eight great grandchildren and sister Virginia McCleney. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday July 19, 2013 in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk VA 23435 by Pastor R. Kirk Culpepper. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Community United Methodist Church, 37 Cherry Road, Portsmouth, VA 23701. Condolences may be registered at bakerfoster.com.
