Mrs. Ida W. Newsome 

FRANKLIN - Mrs. Ida West Newsome, 75, of 806 Chestnut Street died late Thursday [29 Jan 1976] in her home.

A native of Franklin, she was the widow of Thomas E. Newsome. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and its Kings Servant Bible Class. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Whitley, Mrs. Jane Ellis, and Mrs. Peggy Power of Franklin, Mrs. Mary Catherine Babb of Petersburg, and Mrs. Thomas Ellis of Pottersville, Mich.; two sons, Thomas W. Newsome of Franklin and James E. Newsome of Petersburg; 33 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday [30 Jan 1976] at 3 p.m. in Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge.
