Reginald Lee 69, died at his home in Isle of Wight County early Monday morning [11 April 1949] after a short illness. He was a native of Petersburg and had been a farmer in Isle of Wight for a number of years. He was a member of the Swamp Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Harris Wells; four daughters, Mrs. Nora Atkins, Mrs. Louise Cook and Mrs. Etta May Cook, all of Ivor, and Mrs. Sam Jones, Jr., of Windsor; seven sons, Thomas Wells, of Dendron; Charles Lee and Andrew Wells, both of Carrollton; Jim Wells, of Ivor; Reginald H. William Wells, both of Zuni, and W. P. Wells, of Windsor: 47 grandchildren, one great grandchild; two brothers, John Wells, and Bennie Wells, both of Wight. Mrs. Lottie Tench, of Surry County, and Katie Atkins, of Washington, sisters, also survive. The body was taken to the Bullock Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday [13 April 1949] at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. L. E. Holzbach with burial in the Mill Swamp Cemetery.
