Thelma Watson Obituary Thelma Faye Watson, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend left this world peacefully on April 4, 2023, at the age of 75 in her home under the care of her family and Trinity Hospice. She fought a hard battle with lung cancer. Faye is survived by her children, Richard Puntanen and his wife, Candace Puntanen; Michael Watson, Miranda Godfrey, Miranda's significant other Dave Slaughter, and her Goddaughter Misty Trollinger. Her grandchildren Brittany Puntanen, Chelsea Puntanen, Kayla Fussell, Haley Godfrey and Justin Blythe, Raimo Puntanen Jr. III, and Dakota Godfrey. Her brothers and sisters Sharon Smith, Mary Sue Young, Marilyn Laskin, Cathy Riggs, Darlin Atkins, Steve Hastings, Frankie Hastings, and Newts Hastings and several nieces and nephews. Also, by her lifelong friends, Barbara Buchanan and Pat Ferguson. Faye was predeceased in death by her son Raimo Puntanen Jr. She also had many friends from 20+ years working at the Chesapeake Sheriff's office and Hallmark, where she made lifelong friendships. She also made lifelong friendships with her coworkers during her many years at Talbots. Faye was a hard worker and loved birds, flowers, and gardening.
