Mrs. Wallace was born in Norfolk County and had retired from Hofheimer's Shoe Stores. She was a member of Norview Baptist Church, Norfolk, and Women of the Moose Chapter 157.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Reynolds Wallace Jr.; one daughter, Catherine J. Capps of Manassas, VA; two sons, Dennis L. Culpepper Jr. of Denver and Wayne Ray Culpepper of Elizabeth City; two sisters, Juanita H. Gore of Norfolk and Pauline H. Jernigan of Chesapeake; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Deborah M. Hill, and two stepsons, Charles E. Wallace and Thomas Lee Wallace, all of Chesapeake.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. James A. Bradshaw.Women of the Moose rites will be accorded at the grave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
