Ann Vorass Newport News - Ann Vorass Brinkley, 67, peacefully passed away August 24, 201 5. She was born in Elgin, IL the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Dorothy R. Vorass. She was predeceased by her sister, Karen Wallace. Ann graduated high school from Lake Zurich High School in Lake Zurich, IL. She was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. She later went on to work many years in the retail industry. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in IL. Ann is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald T. Brinkley; daughter, Cindy Brinkley Martin; and brothers, Pat Vorass, Tom Vorass (Judy), and Steve Vorass. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, August 27, 201 5 at 7 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service. The committal service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
