He is the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Dozier Vaughan; and he was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He was a Past Master American Lodge No. 330, and Portsmouth Elk Lodge No. 82, Mount Horeb Royal Arch Chapter, No. 11, Past Patron of the Eastern Star No. 37 , and a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, a retired supervisor for the Norfolk Navy Station and 30 yrs. from U.S. Post Office. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ann McKinney, Martinez, Georgia; two sons, Charles Leigh Vaughan, of Richmond and Thomas Edgar Vaughan, of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Doris Davenport, of Portsmouth; three brothers, William J.
