Walter E. Vann FRANKLIN- Walter Everett Vann, 91, Route 1, Franklin, a retired farmer, died Wednesday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. He was a native of Hertford County, N.C., and was member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lillian V. Hughes of Handsom, Mrs. Viola V. Saunders of Hopewell and Mrs. Edith V. Riggins of Greenville, S.C.; six sons, James E. Vann of Hampton, Linwood E. Vann of Murfresboro, N.C., Jesse B. Vann of Dublin, N.C., and Claude K. Vann, Fred A. Vann and Robert L. Vann of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Douglas Vinson of Murfreesboro, N.C.; two brothers, Tulie B. Vann and E. L. Vann of Murfreesboro; 23 grandchildren and 23 great-granchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in W. J. M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev.
