JOSIAH H. UNDERWOOD DIED YESTERDAY.  

Suffolk Bureau. Suffolk, Va., July 9.—Josiah H. Underwood died at 9 o'clock this morning at the residence of his son, near Crittenden, Va., aged 82 years.  

The deceased had been an invalid several years and had been critically ill for some days.  

The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon [10 July 1906] from Oakland Christian Church near Chuckatuck, and the interment will be in the church cemetery.  

J. S. Underwood, of Exit; M. L. Underwood, of Suffolk; C. W. Underwood, of Chuckatuck; and Sam H. Underwood, of Norfolk.  

The deceased was well known in Suffolk and the country and possessed many friends.
