Funeral services for John Lee Underwood Jr., age 7, of 224 S. Caswell Rd., who died yesterday (1 June 1962) in a local hospital, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow (3 June 1962) at Harry and Bryant Chapel in the Oaks. The Rev. James O. Walker, rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Albemarle, will officiate.  

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday (4 June 1962) at Ivey Hill Cemetery in Smithfield, Virginia. Mr. Underwood was born in Smithfield, Virginia, the son of the late John Lee and Ada Johnson Underwood. He was associated with U.S. Casualty Insurance Company for 35 years as chief auditor.  

Surviving are Mrs. Georgie Barrow Underwood; four sisters, Mrs. David Rowles of Suffolk, Virginia, Harry M. Darden of Lyttleton, Mrs. R.W. Jordan of Smithfield, Virginia, and Mrs. Willis Physiac of Stamford, Connecticut; and one grandson.
