Mrs Emma Sophronia Edwards, 85, died Saturday 9 July 1955 at her home 2203 East Broad St. She was a widow of J. R. Edwards.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Roxie B. Throckmorton and Mrs Ethel S. Bocardi of Richmond, and Mrs Maggie S. Bryant of Norfolk; two sons, John D. and Robert H. Edwards of Richmond; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 4 P.M. Monday 11 July 1955 at Morrissett Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
