Lola J. Tilghman GLOUCESTER POINT Lola Jenkins Tilghman, 86, a native of Gates County, N.C., and resident of Gloucester Point for 38 years, died Friday, July 10. Mrs. Tilghman had worked as a secretary/accountant for Kemp Furniture, Phillip-Levy and Sears in Newport News. She also worked as a ticket agent for Greyhound Bus Lines, Fort Eustis, for six years and as a receptionist at York Beach Motel for ten years. Mrs. Tilgham was a member of Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh. She was a graduate of Newport News High Shcool and attended business school in Washington, D.C. Survived by two sisters, Hettie J. Crandol of Newport News and Malvine J. Fraser of Gloucester Point; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hogg Funeral Home.
