Born on July 3, 1933 in Holden, WV, and raised in Kimbal, WV, she was a daughter of the late L. J. (Jinks) and Shirley Moore Jones. Dolores was a 53 year member of the OES chapter 158 in Bramwell, WV, and was a past president of the Franklin/Southampton Christian Woman s Club. She was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Women s Fellowship. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 61 years, Paul E. Thompson; a daughter, Paula T. Drake (W.T.) of Newsoms; three sons, Lee Ray Thompson (Marianne) of Atlanta, GA, Michael Thompson (Patti) of Courtland and Jeff Thompson (Dodie) of Troutville, VA ; a brother, Glenn Jones (DeAnna) of Blufton, SC; a sister-in-law, Mildred Thompson of Staffordsville, VA; brother-in-law, Don Thompson (Shirley) of Nampa, Idaho and Cathy Thompson; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Belcher (J.T), Eric Drake (Cheryl), Heather Osborne (Zack), Dan Thompson, Lin Thompson, Arie Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Noah Thompson and Parker Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Cadence Belcher, Brooklynn Drake, Garrett Drake and Savanna Osborne. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at Hunterdale Christian Church with the Rev. Randy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
