He is also predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Louise Thereault; son, Richard Thereault; and 3 sisters. He was a Navy veteran and retired from the Portsmouth Police Department as an Assistant Chief. 

Albert is survived by his daughter, Elaine Peelen (Frank) and sons, Charles Thereault (Peggy) and David Thereault (Christi); 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 1 sister.
