CLARA WEST Suffolk, July 22.—Mrs. Clara West, wife of J. E. West, died at her home, near Buckhorn, this morning, after long illness, aged 62 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by four children: Mrs. Estelle Boyette, of Windsor, Va.; Mrs. Ida Newcombe, of Holland; James West, of Suffolk, and Moody West, of Buckhorn; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Johnson, of Norfolk; Mrs. Essie Daniel, of Portsmouth; Mrs. Josephine Brown, of Gates, N.C.; two brothers, Daniel Taylor and Richard Taylor, both of Sunbury, N.C.; two half sisters, Mrs. Ernest Benton, of Suffolk, and Mrs. Thomas Cannon, of Gates County; two half brothers, James Taylor and Stanley Taylor, both of Petersburg, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence near Buckhorn this afternoon at 8 o'clock by the Rev. L. F. Paulette. Burial will be in the Beaver Dam Church Cemetery.
