Norris, age 74 and a resident of Lucedale, MS, died on Thursday, August 30, 2007 in Mobile, AL. Mrs. Norris was a native of Marion, IN and had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for 40 years. She was a 1951 graduate of Marion High School and attended Phillips Business College. She was a P.I.O. for the Corps of Engineers after Hurricane Camille. She served U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and was a sergeant in public relations. She also graduated from the U.S. Naval School of Journalism. She was an honorary member of the Red Hat Society in Lucedale. Mrs. Norris is preceded in death by her parents, Nellis & Elsie Clark Stout. She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Norris of Lucedale; her children, Mark (Cathy) Norris of Vicksburg, MS, Dana (Darwin) Nelson of Lucedale, and Nancy (Brad) Barrett of Wiggins, MS; grandchildren, Michael Norris, Lucy Norris, Brett Nelson, Rory Nelson, Justin Barrett, Alyssa Barrett, and Ryan Barrett. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. athe Riemann Family's Funeral home, 11266 Three Rivers Road Chapel in Gulfport. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Lake Christian Assembly, 11555 Cedar Lake Road, Biloxi, MS 39532.
