Grauman of Gaithersburg, Md.; a son, George Wayne Story of Yale, Va.; one sister, Janet Cooke of Ahoskie, N.C.; and eight grandchildren, Jeremiah and Zachary Whitson, Jessica Caldwell, Avery and Olivia Story, Amy Davio, and Brian and Mark Grauman.

A funeral service for George Washington Story Jr. was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Howard L. Vinson Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms.

George Washington Story Jr., 69, died 3 Dec 2003, at Obici Hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Gladys Cutchins and George W. Story Sr. and was a Perdue chicken farmer. He was a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Margie Silverthorne Story; three daughters, Cynthia S. Caldwell of Jacksonville, Fla., Angela S. Johnson of Newsoms and Diane S.
