Mr. Stoekl was the widower of Mary E. Stoekl. He was retired from Hoechst-Celanese, Portsmouth as a laboratory technician with over 40 years of service. 

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra S. Rosnato; three sons, William J. Stoekl, Jr., Stephen G. Stoekl, and John M. Stoekl; 3 grandchildren, Robert Seeds, Danielle Stoekl and Ryan Stoekl. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a. m. Friday January 16, 2015 in the Chapel at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, VA by the Rev. Jet Garica. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p. m.
