Samuel Wayne Stephenson Sr 23 AUG 1938 - 5 OCT 1975 STEPHENSON Samuel Wayne Stephenson, age 37, of Rt. 2, Courtland, Va., died Sunday in his home after a long illness. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Julia Joyner Stephenson and the son of Samuel B. and Mrs. Mazie Hines Stephenson of Wakefield. He was emplyed by Continental Telephone of Va. and had been superintendent of the FranklinSmithfield Service Center for 18 years. He was a member of Courtland Baptist Church and the Ellis Bible Class. Besides his wife and parents, surviving are one daughter, Selinda Leigh Stephenson and one son, Samuel W. Stephenson, Jr., both of Courtland; one sister, Mrs. Faye Campbell of Richmond; one brother, Robert M. Stephenson of Wakefield.
