He is survived by his wife, Elma Joyner Seward, Elberon, a daughter, Connie S. Langston, Cleveland, TN; three sons, Roy E. Seward, Jr., Richmond, Philip A. Seward of Elberon, Kevin Roger Seward, Boston, Mass.; his mother, Lelia Ellis Seward, Wakefield; two brothers, Henry C. Seward, Montross, E. Baxter Seward, Elberon; three sisters, Mary Lee Brittle and Ann S. Cobb, both of Wakefield, and Virginia S. Thacker, Smithfield; and three grandchildren. A funeral service will be Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, Friday, July 31, 1987, at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. H.B. Topping. Burial with Masonic rites will Moores Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Surry.
