Funeral services for Nick Larrie Severino were conducted on Saturday, 16 April 1960, at 2 p.m. at Hill Funeral Home by Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial was at Cypress Chapel Christian Church.

Rev. Brittle read Tennyson’s poem "Crossing the Bar." Mrs. Claudia Jacobs played the hymn "The Old Rugged Cross."

The casket was covered with a pall of pink and yellow gladioli.

Pallbearers were Floyd Nichols, Aubrey Nichols, Mack Little, Stanton Cole, B.L. Whisonant, and Bennie G. Rogers.

Mr. Severino, 51 years old, son of Frank Severino and the late Nellie Severino, died Wednesday, 13 April 1960, in Fayetteville, N.C.

Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. T. Creekmore of Stafford, Mrs. Robert Underwood and Mrs. Stanley Byrum of Suffolk, and Miss Gloria Jean Severino of Portsmouth; a son, Nickie Eugene Severino of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, William Severino of Whaleyville and Jesse Severino of Suffolk; and four grandchildren.
