Junius Saunders, 67, died Saturday, 21 July, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. A native of Southampton County, Mr. Saunders was a retired farmer. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni. He was also a member of the Tucker Swamp Hunt Club, the Zuni Hunt Club, and the Suffolk Moose Lodge No. 141. He was a charter member of the Zuni Ruritan Club. Survivors include his wife, Doris Perkins Saunders; a daughter, Mary Alice Saunders of Zuni; two stepdaughters, Lynn Bunch Lambert of Hampton and Kelly Rose Bunch of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Thomas Earl Saunders of Windsor; his mother, Myrtie Pittman Saunders of Smithfield; one sister, Lottie S. O'Berry of Smithfield; one brother, Ben L. Saunders of Windsor; three grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
