Sarah Bradshaw Lankford  

Franklin, 25 August - Mrs. Sarah Bradshaw Lankford, 93, a well-known resident of Isle of Wight County, near Franklin, died early Thursday night (25 August 1949) after an illness of many months. Mrs. Lankford was the widow of Elisha Lankford, who preceded her in death on 18 July (1949).  

She was the oldest member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Josephe and Annie Beal Bradshaw of Isle of Wight County. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Her body was taken to the funeral home of W. J. M. Holland and Sons of Franklin, and on Saturday afternoon (27 August 1949) will be taken to Beaver Dam Church Cemetery for graveside services at 4 o'clock. The Rev. E. C. Thornton will officiate.
