Born in Franklin and raised in Courtland, he was the son of the late Olden Douglas Rogers, Sr. and Bessie Davis Rogers. He was also predeceased by his wife, Linda Dupree Rogers. Doug was a graduate of Courtland High School and an Army Veteran. He was a retired Maintenance Planner for Union Camp with 36 years of service. Doug was a member of High Street United Methodist Church. Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Olden Douglas Rogers, III (Tammy) of St. Petersburg, FL and Charles Allen Dupree "Tank" Rogers of Franklin, and three grandchildren, Augustus Rogers, Cali Adisyn Rogers, and Alaina Madisyn Rogers. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2024 in High Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Moore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church and suggests that memorial donations be made to High Street United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 218 Franklin, VA 23851.
