Portsmouth - Joan Burnett Robie, 79, a lifelong resident of Portsmouth, passed away September 4, 2018. She lived life to the fullest and cherished her friends and family. 

Joan is the widow of H. Carter Robie, III and was predeceased by her brother, Gene Burnett. She is survived by two daughters, Chris Wray, Cathy Davis and husband Richard; and 4 grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jeffrey Wray, Michael and Whit Davis. 

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p. m. Friday, September 7, at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Ln., Suffolk. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p. m. Saturday, September 8, at Oak Grove Cemetery, 291 Peninsula Ave., Portsmouth. Following the burial, friends may join the family at her daughter's home, 2312 Sterling Point Dr., Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve, 4510 Twin Pines Rd., Portsmouth, VA 23703. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
