Obituary of Cecil Raymond (Ray) Redd Sr. 20 FEB 1936 - 14 MAY 2003 CECIL R. REDD SR. WALTERS - Cecil Ray Redd Sr., 67, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003. Mr. Redd was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and was a son of the late Wilbur L. and Louise Bland Redd. He was the retired owner and operator of Redd's Supermarket in Windsor, Va., a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church and the Walters Ruritan Club. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Barbara Dean Redd; two sons, Cecil Ray Redd Jr. and his wife, Charlotte, of Spring, Texas, and Gregg L.R Redd and his wife, Claudia, of Suffolk; two sisters, Lucille R. Johnson of Newport News and Jackie R. Blythe of Windsor; two granddaughters, Courtney and Lexie Redd; and three grandsons, Michael, David and Jake Redd; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Redd was preceded in death by a brother, Charles L. Redd. A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Reverends Tony Rivers, Robert Bennett and Tim Webb. The burial will be at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.
