Robert Henry Rawls, 85, of Richmond, died Thursday [19 August 1971]. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Cobb Rawls. He was a native of Southampton Co. 

He is survived by a son, Tony Cobb Rawls of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. William B. Tomlinson of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Hugh M. Rawls of Surry, Va.; one sister, Mrs. J. R. Rollings of Elberon, Va.; and two grandsons. 

Graveside services will be held at the Ivor Cemetery, Ivor, Va. at 11 o'clock Saturday, August 21 [1971]. The body will be at the Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield, Va.
